There is 40 acres of mature & regenerating native New Zealand forest on the property to explore, many of the plants & trees are identified and named, the variety in such a small area is huge.

There are three small private beaches and 1km of rocky Hauraki Gulf coastline to explore as part of the property, but then you can go on to find "Robbers" Cove & the Sea caves, Horse Bay where the Orca Whales come to scratch in the early morning or carry on to the natural thermal pools, or just wander along unknown long sandy beaches on your own.

For the more adventuress, there is fishing from the many rocky points or coves.

Kite Fishing - what are the options , What will you catch?

Kayak  around the bay or up to the Puhoi Pub, always go with the tide - Up in the morning with the rising tide, Lunch at the Pub and gently back down again (With the outgoing tide) in the afternoon

Tiri Tiri Matangi Island - In the Hauraki Gulf 

Bird watching on the world famous Tiri Tiri Matangi Island just a short boat ride away, an excellent service is provided by 360Discovery from Gulf Harbour or Auckland City.

The walks are amongst some of the best Bush & Birds in New Zealand

Bus Service to Seaforth from Downtown Auckland City

Excellent Bus service is provided by Stagecoach from Auckland, Buses leave from Wellesley Street in Central Downtown Auckland, Take either the 895 or 894 Bus - See the Route Planner.

Buses leave hourly most of the day, services are less frequent at night and during the weekend.

Yes - we have Snow 365 Days of the year at the Snow Planet the largest indoor Ski & Snowboarding facility in this part of the world, and only 7 kms from Seaforth!


Then to warm up the natural hot Thermal pools of Waiwera - only 3 kms to the north, with a wide range of activities including the Spa's , Hot Pools & Water Slides, fun for all ages.



Kite Surfing - Orewa has one of the best places in the North for Kite Surfing and a Kite Surf shop & School that will get you into the action. Or just enjoy the spectical of them out there when the wind is right - it is a great thing to see them all out there having a great time!

The wonderful ARC Wenderholm regional park - with walks, river, beaches, swimming, fishing, exploring and local settler History. Just 4kms to the north. 


Action raceway - next to the Snow planet provides the delights of Go Kart racing and Bumper boats - A great place for Kids of all ages!

The more relaxed  and laid back activities for the area.

Thermal pools at Waiwera - Hot thermal mineral pools - the water used to just bubble out of the sand on the beach - people have come here for a 100 plus years to enjoy the healing of the thermal waters. Just 3 kms north of Seaforth.  

Food - Lots of great options - We recommend that you at least try these places:

Puhoi Valley Cheese Cafe  "Art of Cheese"  - Just a few km to the north in the wonderful Puhoi Valley area, great Cafe with working Cheese Factory. Puhoi is an area of early New Zealand Settlers - Lovely old buildings & Church, The Puhoi Pub - well worth the visit just to see the bar!


Rock Salt Restaurant on the main road of Orewa - Great for that special evening meal.
Joust Restaurant & Bar on the beach at Orewa - Great Food & wonderful atmosphere, well worth the visit.
